Children must be protected from suffering. This is vital for children&#8217;s health and future prospects.<\/p><p>The Salvation Army of Sweden organized a two-week camp, offering 40 Ukrainian children from Mariupol, Kharkiv, and Dnipro an excellent opportunity for rest and recovery in the Sheppsgorden camp on the Mystergult archipelago. Two weeks free from war and air raids&#8230; There were various activities available for children, including rowing, swimming, and visiting Astrid Lindgren&#8217;s World, where children could explore environments based on characters from her books such as Pippi Longstocking, Emil from Lenneberga, Carlson who lives on the roof, and others created by the Swedish author. The children experienced memorable moments and were able to experience childhood again. Access to a range of nutritious meals\u2014including certain delicacies sampled for the first time\u2014supported their physical recovery.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div children&#8217;s access to essential services such as adequate nutrition and housing. Approximately 70%, equating to 3.5 million children, are without this necessary access. Therefore, Children&#8217;s Ministry of the Salvation Army in Ukraine and support by international branches of the Salvation Army, plays a vital role in shaping the future of Ukrainian children.<\/p><p>According to Major Kostyantyn Shvab, Leader of the Salvation Army Ukraine Division: \u201cThe Salvation Army Division Ukraine expresses appreciation to the Swedish Salvation Army and all donors for organizing a vacation for 40 Ukrainian children, who despite their young age, saw and continue experiencing the horror of war, lost and continue losing their family members and friends. The war in Ukraine is mercilessly hitting children. Therefore, I would like the Swedish Salvation Army initiative to continue. Two weeks free from war and air raids&#8230; There were various activities available for children, including rowing, swimming, and visiting Astrid Lindgren&#8217;s World, where children could explore environments based on characters from her books such as Pippi Longstocking, Emil from Lenneberga, Carlson who lives on the roof, and others created by the Swedish author. The children experienced memorable moments and were able to experience childhood again.
